Senior Front-End Developer, Web Experimentation

The Role

Modern Front-End Stack

• Build production features in Next.js, Sanity, React, and TypeScript while supporting WordPress, PHP, and Twig environments.
• Extend shared component libraries and design systems with reusable, well-tested foundations.
• Own Core Web Vitals, semantic and accessible markup, and fast, resilient page loads.
• Integrate APIs and structured content in Sanity while maintaining Twig-templated WordPress components.
• Write scalable, organized, well-tested code and reinforce engineering practices through code review.

AI-Assisted Development

• Use AI coding tools and agents such as Claude and AI-assisted IDEs to accelerate development while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Improve MCP integrations, prompts, and context so tickets, content, and code are AI-ready.
• Define and benchmark team standards for AI-assisted development and document effective practices.

Experimentation and Growth

• Architect and execute complex A/B and multivariate experiments across high-converting marketing flows.
• Design statistically sound, performant test variants with CRO leads and data analysts.
• Reduce flicker and time to market while ensuring client- and server-side rendering accuracy.
• Support SEO, LLM, and AI-search initiatives through structured data, performance, and rendering foundations.

Technical Leadership

• Set technical patterns and direction through pragmatic, well-reasoned decisions.
• Mentor and coach front-end developers while maintaining engineering standards.
• Partner with the Engineering Manager on technical standards, code quality, and architecture.
• Improve the stack, tooling, processes, and team documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Expert HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, accessibility, and web performance skills with several years of production application experience.
• Hands-on experience architecting and shipping complex A/B, multivariate, and personalized web experiments with measurable conversion outcomes.
• Experience with experimentation or feature-flag platforms and product analytics tools.
• Mastery of Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern rendering strategies.
• Experience with design systems or shared component libraries.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Sanity or Contentful alongside WordPress, PHP, and Twig.
• Active use of AI coding tools and a responsible perspective on their application.
• Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and technical leadership without ego.

Nice to Have

• Comfort integrating APIs and services or experience with full-stack development.
• Experience collaborating closely with designers in Figma.

Location

• Candidates should be based in one of Jobber’s hub cities: Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo.

Compensation

• The annual salary range is $121,000 minimum, $142,200 midpoint, and $163,600 maximum.
• Total compensation may include equity, health and wellness stipends, retirement savings matching, extended health coverage, and development programs.
