Senior Financial Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month-end reporting packages, forecasts, and budgets.
• Comment on financial results and key business indicators and drive continuous improvement within the finance team.
• Participate in strategic planning and track industry trends, business and cost drivers, and accounting policies.
• Develop management reporting on financial performance and operational measures.
• Analyze revenue trends, prepare month-end variance analysis and commentary versus budget and forecasts, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business partners and finance leadership, communicating trends, observations, and business impacts.
• Assist with business cases, financial modeling, and decision-making for strategic initiatives.
• Maintain data integrity in models and reports and improve reporting efficiency and effectiveness.

Candidate qualifications

• CPA or MBA.
• Knowledge and experience with IFRS 15.
• Three to five years of progressive financial analysis experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; self-motivated and committed to ongoing learning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and influence across the organization.

Additional advantageous systems

• Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems, Hyperion/Essbase, data querying software such as SQL, Databricks, Alteryx, or Snowflake, or Power BI is an asset.
