Spot Yoga is a wellness brand dedicated to bringing mindfulness, movement, and balance to travelers and airport staff at Abu Dhabi Airport. We offer yoga and wellness services in a unique, fast-paced environment. As we continue to grow our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in a hybrid capacity.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee our financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and cash flow management. You will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial records and support strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys the flexibility of hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist with VAT return preparation and filing.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital to support operational needs.
• Develop and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support leadership decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is strongly preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, ideally within retail, hospitality, or service industries.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations, and UAE financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in the office.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work days.
• Must have a valid UAE PASS for digital identity verification and onboarding.
