About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the organization.
• Ensure full compliance with DFSA, DIFC, AML/CFT, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and maintain governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Oversee regulatory licensing, reporting, and supervisory requirements.
• Monitor operational performance, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors and shareholders to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
• Lead senior management teams while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory, operational, and management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and support long-term business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree, MBA, CFA, CAIA, or another relevant professional qualification is preferred.
• Minimum **10–15 years** of experience in investment management, banking, asset management, wealth management, private equity, fund management, or other regulated financial services.
• Previous experience as a **Senior Executive Officer (SEO), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Executive Director, Head of Compliance**, or a similar executive leadership position.
• Strong understanding of DFSA regulations, DIFC regulatory framework, corporate governance, AML/CFT requirements, and enterprise risk management.
• Proven experience working directly with financial regulators and managing regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a DFSA-regulated financial institution.
• Hands-on experience obtaining regulatory licences and approvals.
• Background in private equity, venture capital, fund management, investment advisory, family offices, or alternative investments.
• Experience establishing governance, compliance, and operational frameworks from the ground up.
