Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor pending order follow up. Collaborating with Buying and Planning department for handling default shipments.
2. Monitoring nomination of service providers (shipping line / Forwarder) for each shipments, Ensuring cost effectiveness, lead time and service level
3. Monitoring vessel sailing schedules and liaising with service providers and suppliers on the shipment booking process.
4. Preparing shipment projection and sharing with service providers for secure equipment/ space for their respective nominations.
5. Negotiating Ex works and freight charge with service providers for shipment under Ex work term or for those port pairs freight rates not available in the RFQ.
6. Monitoring timely receipt of shipping documents, ensuring timely completion of document process for smooth clearing of shipments.
7. Monitoring port pendency and shipment clearing status, Liaising with Destination import team / warehouse on timely clearing of shipments.
8. Monitoring inflow of K- Line products, prioritize clearing and receiving. Liaising with Planning department for weekly update.
9. Monitoring end to end flow of Non-trading shipments, Liaising with Project / Marketing departments.
10. Monitor shipment cleared under Indemnity and ensure timely submission of Original BLs and cancellation of LOI.
11. Preparing Container projection and monitoring inflow of shipments.

Preparing lead time analysis report and monitoring production/ shipment transit time for each shipment

12 Preparing supplier performance analysis on timely shipments and shipping document dispatch. Sharing default shipment details with respective suppliers/ buying team for corrective action.

13 Preparing pending order status report, sharing with buying / planning team with aging of default orders.

14 Preparing optimization of freight reports comparing Least freight v/s the actual freight incurred, with the reason for nomination in case of difference in freight.

15 Direct, coordinate, assign, monitor and review the work of individuals engaged in Imports related duties.
