Senior Executive - Account Receivable & Collections, Affle (Dubai)

Position

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• 2–4 years of experience in accountancy or finance.

Collections and accounts receivable

• Manage day-to-day collections for overdue accounts and contact clients to follow up on unpaid invoices.
• Ensure timely, professional follow-up in line with company policy and monitor aged receivables.
• Maintain records of client communications and review customer accounts to ensure payments are correctly applied.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams on collection issues, pending payments, and customer concerns.

Client relationships and payment recording

• Build positive client relationships and address billing or payment-term inquiries, disputes, and concerns.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve payment-related issues.
• Record customer payments accurately, including partial payments, discounts, credits, and adjustments.
• Work with the collections team to track overdue payments and update records as receipts or arrangements are made.

Reconciliation and documentation

• Reconcile customer ledgers and resolve discrepancies, unapplied credits, unresolved payments, and billing errors.
• Maintain documentation for accounts receivable transactions and organize financial records.
• Comply with company policies, credit terms, and relevant accounting regulations; assist with audits and reporting.

Competencies

• Hands-on TDS/26AS reconciliation experience.
• English is required; good communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Spreadsheets.
• Ability to question current practices, identify root causes and corrective actions, and drive improvements.
• Strong financial acumen, problem-solving, and analytical skills; basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
