Reports to the Manager, Commercial and is accountable for safely delivering Greenhills Operations capital projects on time and within budget.
Project scopes include infrastructure, earthworks, structural, mechanical, and electrical work at the mine and processing plant.
Key responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary projects from pre-scoping through closeout and coordinate internal teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Define scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables; manage resources, dependencies, critical paths, risks, and project costs.
- Follow project governance, including charters, commercial processes, bid evaluations, stage-gate reviews, management of change, contractor supervision, and operational readiness.
- Adhere to safety programs and policies; lead, train, coach, and mentor the project team.
- Report project progress and risks to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil, Mechanical, Mining, or Electrical disciplines are preferred.
- At least 10 years of work experience, with at least 3 years directly managing projects involving engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction.
- Heavy industrial sector experience and PMP designation are assets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
- Successful candidates must satisfy pre-employment drug screening and provide three professional references.
Compensation
- Salary range is CAD 140,000–165,000 per year; actual base salary depends on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and internal equity.
- Benefits include two annual bonus plans, comprehensive benefits, retirement package, health lifestyle account, and relocation assistance.
Schedule
- Compressed work week with alternating Fridays off.
Work setting
- Projects cover mine and processing-plant work at Greenhills Operations.
