Senior Engineer – MEP

Role Overview

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead MEP system development in line with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Manage MEP work from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
• Review and approve HVAC designs, load calculations, equipment selections, and technical submissions.
• Ensure MEP and HVAC designs comply with relevant codes, including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local authority regulations.
• Provide technical guidance for MEP design, installation, and operation, resolving complex engineering challenges.
• Review, inspect, and test MEP designs and installations to maintain quality and integrity.
• Lead and mentor MEP engineers and designers.
• Coordinate procurement of compliant MEP equipment and materials with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies for safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
• Serve as the primary client contact for MEP technical concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure regulatory, code, and standards compliance for MEP design, installation, and operation.
• Implement emerging technologies and best practices to improve MEP project outcomes and efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of MEP engineering experience with a focus on construction oversight.
• Mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling software for MEP system design and analysis.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required for success in the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) professional certificate is preferred.
• Experience on stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience in PMC roles is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP design, installation, and operational requirements is desired.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and applicable local, national, and international standards is desired.
• Strong MEP project management skills in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination are desired.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex MEP technical issues are desired.
