Administrative Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee administrative management of enterprise Windows, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Provide advanced administration and optimization of Active Directory, core infrastructure services, and clustered systems.
- Manage and fine-tune VMware platforms, including HA, DRS, and vMotion, for performance and availability.
- Administer Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, monitoring, automation, governance, and security services.
- Administer Microsoft 365 tenant services, Microsoft Defender, SCCM, and Intune.
- Oversee patch management, vulnerability remediation, and OS hardening across hybrid platforms.
- Review, approve, and implement changes through formal change management processes.
- Handle escalated administrative issues and provide L3/L4 support.
- Maintain administrative documentation, runbooks, standards, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with security, compliance, architecture, and external vendors for audits and service optimization.
Functional Responsibilities
- Provide advanced functional support for enterprise Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments.
- Design, manage, and optimize Active Directory and Entra ID services.
- Own DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTP, File and Print Services, and Microsoft Failover Clusters.
- Lead VMware cluster operations, capacity optimization, and infrastructure support.
- Architect, configure, and support Azure IaaS and PaaS services for business and operational needs.
- Implement Azure RBAC, Conditional Access, Azure Policy, Key Vault, customer-managed keys, and Disk Encryption.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, tenant governance, Microsoft Defender, and Intune.
- Lead patching, vulnerability remediation, and OS hardening across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Provide L3/L4 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and service improvements.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, security, architects, and vendors for service delivery.
- Mentor engineers and provide functional guidance and technical leadership.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Relevant advanced technology certification is required, with examples including VMware VCP and Microsoft Azure certifications.
- ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation is listed among the professional qualifications.
- Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is listed among the professional qualifications.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate is listed among the professional qualifications.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is listed among the professional qualifications.
Experience and Technical Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in information technology or a similar field.
- Advanced Windows Server architecture, administration, and enterprise systems management expertise.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTP, and Microsoft Failover Clustering.
- Strong VMware experience with clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion, and capacity optimization.
- Extensive Microsoft Azure experience across infrastructure, networking, storage, monitoring, automation, identity, and governance.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Stream.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, endpoint compliance, device security, and MDM/MAM policies.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Ability to provide L3/L4 escalation support and lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and audit requirements.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive service improvements.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
