Experience
- 5–8 Years (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in CAD design and engineering drawing preparation.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards, GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Proficiency in relevant CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Siemens NX, depending on business requirements.
- Strong understanding of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Knowledge of assembly design, sheet metal design, and manufacturing processes, where applicable.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with BOM preparation, drawing release processes, and revision control.
- Knowledge of design validation and engineering change management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

- Job Purpose

- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop, and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs), as applicable.
- Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, material specifications, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Interpret engineering requirements, sketches, specifications, and design inputs.
- Conduct design reviews and identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.
- Ensure drawings are updated and maintained as per engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, quality, procurement, and project teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production implementation.
- Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and CAD file records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and industry standards.
