  • Gangaikondan Grade/ Level Job Objective The Procurement Executive – Expeditor is responsible for ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials, coordinating with suppliers, and preventing production delays by closely tracking purchase orders and expediting critical items. Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • KPIs 1) Procurement & Expediting
  • Monitor purchase orders (POs) and ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Follow up with suppliers for schedule adherence and dispatch updates
  • Procurement & Expediting
  • Expedite critical or delayed shipments to meet production timelines
  • Track lead times, delays, and bottlenecks in supply chain.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Act as liaison between suppliers, procurement, production, and stores teams
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to prioritise urgent material requirements
  • Provide regular status updates on open orders and shortages
  • Vendor Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure commitment to delivery schedules
  • Escalate delays and negotiate for faster deliveries or alternate solutions
  • Evaluate supplier performance on delivery & responsiveness
  • SECTION VI: ROLE PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / Business Administration

Experience

  • 2 – 5 years in procurement / expediting / supply chain roles Competencies CORE COMPETENCIES LEADERSHIP/ BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
  • Strong follow-up and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of supply chain & procurement processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and MS Excel
