Senior DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms; deploy and manage Docker and Kubernetes applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar tools.
• Maintain production availability, scalability, security, and reliability; manage and troubleshoot Linux/Unix environments.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and IT teams; implement access controls, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot deployments, infrastructure failures, and production incidents; manage Git and branching strategies.
• Optimize cloud costs and resource use; document infrastructure and operating procedures; participate in disaster recovery and backup planning.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, System Administration, or related roles.
• Strong experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP; hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible; strong Bash, Python, or Shell scripting knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, DNS, load balancers, security principles, Git, and source code management.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices; strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred skills

• Microservices architecture; Helm and Kubernetes deployment strategies; ArgoCD or other GitOps tools.
• Database administration, cloud-managed databases, and high-availability, scalable production environments.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, or Azure DevOps certifications are advantageous.
