Senior DevOps Engineer

Role summary

Infrastructure and delivery

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar tools.
• Maintain production environment availability, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux/Unix servers and environments.

Security and operations

• Collaborate with Development, QA, and IT teams to streamline software delivery.
• Implement security best practices, access controls, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps processes.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues, infrastructure failures, and production incidents.
• Manage Git and branching strategies; optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
• Maintain infrastructure, deployment, and operational documentation.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity processes.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, System Administration, or related roles.
• Strong experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience; strong CI/CD knowledge, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible; strong Bash, Python, or shell scripting knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, DNS, load balancers, and security principles.
• Experience with Git and source code management; knowledge of DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred skills

• Microservices architecture experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Helm and Kubernetes deployment strategies is preferred.
• Experience with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools is preferred.
• Database administration and cloud-managed database knowledge are preferred.
• Experience managing highly available, scalable production environments is preferred.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, and Azure DevOps certifications are advantageous.
