Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases supporting Finance Systems.
• Support Business Central, Adaptive Insights, MIS_CAM Engine, and related integrations.
• Maintain database encryption and secure connectivity; support Azure Arc, Virtual Networks, and Gateways in hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain data pipelines and integration jobs; execute disaster recovery, backup, and restore procedures.
• Support Power Platform workflows and participate in an on-call rotation with the Senior DBA.
• Contribute to automation and modernization; implement secure configurations, encryption standards, and access policies.
• Ensure audit and compliance readiness, automate tasks, and document processes and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with Finance, Support, Business Systems, and Development teams, explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences.

Required qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience and two years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration.
• Strong SQL tuning, indexing, optimization, production support, incident management, deployment, and configuration experience.
• Experience with integrations such as SSIS, APIs, or ETL tools, and troubleshooting complex database and integration issues.
• Knowledge of security, governance, audit requirements, and database encryption, including TDE, Always Encrypted, or encryption at rest and in flight.
• Practical Azure experience with Azure Arc, Virtual Networks, Gateways, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with Master Data Services, SSRS, and on-premises Power BI Report Server.
• Business Central, Adaptive Insights, MIS_CAM Engine, Microsoft Power Platform, PowerShell, and regulated-environment experience are preferred.
