A leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Senior Data Science Manager.
The role bridges technical teams and senior business stakeholders, translating organizational challenges into machine learning solutions that drive measurable growth.
The position leads data science and AI initiatives across banking domains including retail, risk, credit, and operations.
The role provides strategic and technical leadership to a team and ensures models are robust, explainable, and production-ready.
Compensation
- Compensation is 45,000–50,000 AED per month, plus benefits.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy machine learning models to improve efficiency and risk outcomes across customer journeys.
- Apply supervised, unsupervised, and time-series modeling techniques using structured and semi-structured data.
- Lead feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, and benchmarking.
- Conduct experimentation using hypothesis testing and statistical inference to quantify model impact.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prepare and maintain models for production using standard continuous integration practices.
- Monitor model performance, stability, and data drift for ongoing reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Manage change initiatives and training programs to drive data-driven practices across business units.
- Manage and mentor two to five direct reports and organize work toward strategic objectives.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of data science experience with proven expertise in artificial intelligence and cloud-based deployments.
- Strong background in banking processes, operations, terminology, and machine learning operations.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and agile squads in a regulated environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- A master’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- Advanced technical skills in Python, generative AI, large language models, and cloud-based pipelines using Azure or AWS.
