The Senior Data Science Domain Analyst supports adoption of data science, machine learning, and AI across commercial, planning, and supply chain functions.

The position is full-time and onsite at Simplot headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
Domain leadership and collaboration
- Partner with commercial, sales, marketing, planning, supply chain, procurement, and customer-facing teams to identify and prioritize opportunities.
- Translate business challenges into analytics, optimization, machine learning, and AI use cases; define value, success metrics, data needs, and implementation approaches.
- Bridge business stakeholders, data scientists, AI engineers, and technology teams; align objectives and drive adoption through communication and user engagement.
Analytics and solution delivery
- Analyze business processes, operational data, and decision workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate data quality, system capabilities, and integration needs across enterprise platforms; support prototyping, experimentation, and business cases.
- Collaborate on predictive, prescriptive, optimization, and generative AI solutions.
- Shape custom applications that complement SAP, Salesforce, planning systems, and commercial tools; guide deployment into business processes.
Portfolio and value management
- Assess and prioritize opportunities by business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Support multi-year roadmaps for AI, analytics, and decision-support capabilities.
- Measure outcomes and ensure solutions deliver meaningful business results.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years in commercial, supply chain, planning, procurement, operations, or related business functions.
- Experience with analytics, machine learning, or AI solution teams; proficiency with SQL and data-analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of the machine learning lifecycle and AI solution delivery.
- Demonstrated success working with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in food, agriculture, or consumer products.
- Experience supporting sales, demand or supply planning, S&OP, procurement, pricing, forecasting, logistics, or customer service.
- Experience delivering custom analytics applications complementing SAP, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to optimization, forecasting, recommendation systems, agentic AI, or decision intelligence; familiarity with enterprise data platforms and modern AI technologies.
