Role overview
Lead architecture for a pilot migrating analytics data integrations from SAP Data Intelligence to SAP Business Data Cloud.

Architecture and solution design
- Design integration architectures, ingestion patterns, processing flows, and Medallion Architecture load strategies.
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models with detailed mappings.
- Document current SAP DI source-feed architecture and future SAP BDC target architecture.
Governance and delivery
- Check that target designs can be implemented without business disruption and assess compatibility of current and future models and patterns.
- Define testing, validation, and migration requirements and ensure compliance with security, privacy, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Present designs and recommendations to Architecture Review Boards and Design Authority forums.
Collaboration and technical leadership
- Work with product managers, data engineers, analysts, SAP and solution architects, and business stakeholders.
- Identify risks, dependencies, constraints, and implementation challenges; develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain solution designs, architecture decision records, standards, and technical documentation, and contribute to enterprise standards.
Required experience and skills
- Senior data or solution architecture experience; enterprise data architecture and data modelling expertise.
- Experience delivering cloud data platforms and large-scale data integration and analytics solutions; Databricks is preferred.
- Strong SAP ecosystem knowledge and experience designing solutions using SAP-sourced data.
- Knowledge of integration and ingestion patterns, APIs, service-based and event-driven architectures, data lakehouse and Medallion Architecture, and large-scale processing.
- Ability to create implementable designs; knowledge of governance, security, privacy, compliance, regulation, and enterprise architecture processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Workplace and contract
- Hybrid working model in West Yorkshire.
