Salary

• The advertised salary range is £52,012 to £69,366.

Role purpose

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve the organisation's business intelligence capability and shape Microsoft Fabric and Power BI governance, standards and operating models.
• Provide analysis for decision making, business cases, performance monitoring, benefits realisation and industry assurance.
• Deliver analytical projects from requirements gathering through insight generation and migrate Tableau content to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Create self-service dashboards, analytical products and visualisations using strong modelling and visualisation practices.
• Lead transformation initiatives, manage two direct reports and a part-time contractor, and present evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.

Essential experience

• Experience delivering analytical projects that support business performance and decision making.
• Strong experience developing enterprise dashboards, reports, analytical products, data models, semantic layers and self-service reporting solutions.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills with experience working with complex datasets.
• Experience translating business requirements into reporting solutions and communicating complex findings clearly.
• Experience engaging stakeholders, identifying improvement opportunities and line managing analysts.

Desirable experience

• Experience shaping business intelligence strategy, governance, standards or operating models is desirable.
• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric or other enterprise analytics platforms is desirable.
• Experience supporting reporting migrations, analytics transformation or platform modernisation is desirable.
• Experience in regulated, operational or infrastructure-focused industries is desirable.
