Role overview

Data infrastructure

• Connect and consolidate data from NetSuite, Cascade, Smartsheet, and other operational sources.
• Build reliable ETL pipelines and a central reporting layer with low ongoing maintenance.
• Develop scalable data models, such as a star schema, for flexible reporting.
• Set governance standards for naming, refresh schedules, version control, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot source data quality with Finance Business Partner teams and introduce early checks.

Power BI reporting and dashboards

• Build and maintain dashboards covering finance, people, and projects.
• Support finance reporting on P&L, budgets versus actuals, cash flow, and cost centres.
• Support people reporting on headcount, attrition, hiring, pay, and compa-ratio.
• Support project reporting on status, resourcing, budget burn, and milestones.
• Turn business questions into clear self-service visualisations; own DAX and data modelling.
• Manage dashboard access controls, including row-level security where needed, and train users.

Finance analysis and collaboration

• Support finance leaders with scenario modelling, automation, variance analysis, and business case work.
• Respond to emerging data requests while prioritising the core infrastructure roadmap.
• Work with Finance leadership, Finance Business Partners, data source owners, business users, and the Data Analytics team.

Essential experience and skills

• Strong hands-on Power BI reporting and data modelling experience, including Power Query and DAX.
• Experience integrating and structuring data from multiple source systems; solid SQL skills.
• Comfort working with finance, HR, and project data and understanding their business logic.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with non-technical users.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality and governance.

Desirable experience

• ETL or pipeline tools such as Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, or Dataflows.
• Finance function experience, such as FP&A or management accounts.
• Familiarity with Azure or cloud data platforms.
• Experience establishing a reporting function from scratch.
