This role will be pivotal in shaping and managing credit risk strategies, policies, and frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive credit risk management excellence.
Responsibilities
- **Credit Risk & Policy Management**
- Develop, review, and implement credit risk policies for Consumer Lending, focusing on Credit Cards.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory standards, market best practices, and business goals.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend policy enhancements to mitigate risks effectively.
- **Underwriting & Credit Decisioning**
- Oversee underwriting processes, ensuring sound and consistent credit assessments.
- Provide guidance on complex/high-risk credit cases and enhance decisioning frameworks through analytics.
- **Product & Portfolio Management**
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Business teams to optimize Credit Card products from a risk perspective.
- Define eligibility criteria, pricing inputs, and risk segmentation while tracking portfolio trends.
- **Analytics & Reporting**
- Leverage analytics to assess portfolio health, customer behavior, and emerging risks.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- **People & Stakeholder Management**
- Lead, mentor, and develop credit risk teams while fostering a risk-aware culture.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth.
Experience
- Minimum 12+ years in
Credit Risk
within Consumer Lending, with at least 5 years in the
Saudi Credit Cards market
- .
- Proven expertise in
Credit Policy
,
Product Management
,
Underwriting
, and
Risk Analytics
- .
- Prior experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of
- Credit Card business models
- and consumer risk management.
- Deep knowledge of
- credit bureau data
- and underwriting processes.
- Proficiency in portfolio monitoring, including delinquency, losses, and profitability.
