About the role

The Senior Sales promotes the sales of commercial vehicle fleets within the assigned Middle East region, by developing and maintaining high-level connections and sound partnerships with existing and potential customers (PTA and PTO).

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers; keep track of local policies and tender opportunities.
  • Coordinate and support the work of the BYD local team in the responsible region, including sales assistants, tender specialists and after-sales teams.
  • Establish and sustain connections with municipal authorities and cities planning to procure commercial vehicles.
  • Provide professional consulting support and relevant information to help local authorities formulate commercial vehicle tender documents.
  • Lead the headquarters support team to complete tender bid preparation work.
  • Deliver the regional sales goals and profitability targets as required.
  • Main duties
  • Formulate a city outreach plan based on procurement volume and repeat cooperation potential.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with city officials and commercial vehicle operating companies.
  • Confirm product specifications, delivery schedules and pricing details in alignment with customer demands.
  • Submit regular reports on sales pipeline progress.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of regional sales targets.
  • Secure the expected profit margin for the assigned region.
  • Follow up on payment schedules to guarantee timely fund collection.
  • Keep internal departmental workflows updated. Submit improvement proposals for organizational optimization, process upgrades and incident handling.

Requirements

  • & competencies
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as Sales Manager or Country Manager in the automotive industry, with commercial vehicle sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related disciplines.
  • Fluent in English, and proficiency in at least one local Middle Eastern language is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Certifications in value-added selling and high-level negotiation are highly preferred.
  • Good teamwork awareness, able to collaborate with colleagues from diverse countries and cultural backgrounds, and maintain a positive working attitude.
  • Outstanding capabilities in negotiation, value-added sales, creative thinking, data analysis and active listening.
