Senior Civil Technical Engineer

About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
- Manage technical submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material approvals
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards
- Provide technical support to site execution teams and resolve engineering issues
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely technical deliverables
- Participate in project planning, value engineering, and risk assessment
- Attend technical meetings and prepare related reports/documentation
- Support procurement teams with technical evaluations and material selection
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in construction and technical engineering
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical coordination, and project documentation
- UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering/document management systems
- Strong understanding of local authority requirements and international standards
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on high-rise, commercial, or industrial projects
- Familiarity with BIM coordination is an advantage
- Sharjah Municipality / UAE approvals experience is a plus
