About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform structural analysis for concrete and steel structures
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, and site teams
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, international codes, and project specifications
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases
- Identify design risks and provide practical engineering solutions
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs
- Mentor junior engineers and support the engineering team when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in structural engineering
- Strong experience in structural design and site coordination
- UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD
- Good understanding of international design codes and standards
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage
- Membership in a recognized engineering body is preferred
- Sharjah Municipality / UAE engineering approval is a plus
