Role Overview

The Ads Business Engineering team works across engineering, product, sales, and business development to support advertising platform integrations.

The Senior Business Engineer owns strategic technical partnerships, AdTech integrations, and developer ecosystem growth.

The role combines technical consulting, hands-on engineering, solutions architecture, and long-term partner relationship ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Advise strategic partners and advertisers on integrating and adopting Reddit advertising APIs and tools.
  • Design and prototype solutions in Reddit or partner codebases.
  • Optimize partner integrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and support onboarding, testing, and pre-launch activities.
  • Represent partner needs internally and influence product and platform priorities.
  • Resolve complex integration escalations and collaborate across technical and commercial teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience owning end-to-end technical projects and coordinating across organizations.
  • Hands-on expertise in one or more modern programming languages for backend or API development.
  • Experience contributing to external integrations and prototyping in partner environments.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and modern SDK patterns.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep AdTech ecosystem understanding is preferred.
  • Developer experience contributions through tooling, documentation, or ecosystem standards are preferred.
  • Product roadmap, release, launch, adoption, advertising industry, or advertising partnerships experience is preferred.
