The Role
Support planning and implementation of projects across Product, Finance, Pricing and Underwriting.
Lead business analysis and execution of Product Hub initiatives using best-practice methodologies.
Work with Business and Technology teams on complex issues, opportunities and strategic initiatives.
Position Accountabilities
- Lead analysis and documentation of business needs, requirements and outcomes.
- Work with Product Owners to develop and size user stories.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working sessions.
- Maintain requirements, manage change requests and support project implementation.
- Manage project risks, assess business impacts and conduct post-implementation reviews.
- Recommend system and operational enhancements and maintain framework compliance.
- Lead, mentor, coach and performance-manage Business Analysts in the Product Hub.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years of business or product analysis experience.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience and a record of mentoring Business Analysts.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience preparing formal requirements and reports.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, multitasking and time-management abilities.
- Understanding of legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations in the FSR environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCBA, PMP, Prince2 or similar certification is highly regarded but not essential.
- A tertiary qualification in IT or a business-related discipline is highly regarded but not essential.
- Insurance domain knowledge is desirable.
- UAT and testing methodology experience is desirable.
- Experience using LLMs to accelerate business analysis discovery and synthesis is desirable.
Location and Flexibility
- The role is available at Brisbane and Sunshine Coast locations, including Toowong or Kawana.
- Employees can work from home two days per week.
