Senior Business Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Define and validate business, stakeholder, functional, non-functional and transition requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and technical colleagues in agile delivery teams to develop digital solutions and provide team documentation.
• Maintain, refine and prioritise the product backlog; coordinate communications and help resolve related risks, issues and changes.
• Support and mentor business analysts and participate in professional communities of practice; the role may include line management.

Experience and qualifications

• Experience collaborating with Product Owners and technical colleagues to develop business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience using Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver digital projects and products.
• Experience investigating business requirements, specifying effective processes, and applying modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards.
• Hold the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent, such as IIBA CCBA or CBAP, or be prepared to work towards one.

Locations and workplace

• The role may be based in Bristol, Swansea, Leeds, Nottingham, Newcastle, Oldham (Chadderton), Birmingham (Garretts Green) or Uxbridge.
• For the Uxbridge option, the contractual base is Yeading; staff will temporarily work in Uxbridge during Yeading site works and are required to work from Yeading after it reopens in 2028.

Pay and benefits

• The stated salary is £45,900, with a £4,000 London Weighting allowance for candidates based in Yeading or Uxbridge.
