Senior Barista

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based and other hot and cold beverages to consistent café standards.
• Train and support junior baristas on recipes, latte art, customer service, and equipment handling.
• Oversee opening, closing, cleanliness, hygiene, and display standards in line with UAE F&B regulations.
• Monitor stock, place requisitions, and reduce wastage of coffee, milk, syrups, and other consumables.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints and provide a welcoming guest experience.
• Coordinate with café management on daily reports.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven barista experience in the UAE; previous senior or shift-leader experience is preferred.
• Strong specialty coffee, brewing, grinder calibration, and basic machine troubleshooting knowledge.
• Familiarity with UAE café settings and basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good English communication; additional languages are advantageous.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours while maintaining service standards.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience training or mentoring baristas in a specialty coffee shop or branded café.
• Basic POS and cash-handling skills.
• Coffee or barista certifications from recognized local or international training centers.

Compensation

• AED 3,500–5,000 per month.

Workplace and schedule

• Full-time role; work is in person.
• Shift, weekend, and peak-hour availability is required.
