Head Barista

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily opening and closing, cash handling, cleanliness, hygiene, and displays in line with Dubai Municipality requirements.
• Prepare espresso-based and other hot and cold beverages to company standards; dial in grinders and extraction and perform quality checks.
• Lead, schedule, and train baristas on recipes, latte art, customer service, and equipment handling.
• Manage stock, place supplier and roastery orders, and reduce wastage.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs with service providers.
• Prepare daily sales, cash, and stock reports; handle customer feedback and complaints and drive beverage and retail coffee sales.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of UAE barista experience, including 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong specialty coffee, brewing, grinder calibration, and basic machine troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience with café operations, POS, cash handling, and stock control.
• Working knowledge of UAE food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good English; other languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience running or supervising a specialty or branded café is preferred.
• Recognized barista certification such as SCA or Dubai Municipality food safety (PIC) training is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 5,000–8,000 per month.

Schedule

• Full-time role requiring shifts, weekends, and peak-hour availability.

• Work is in person.
