• We're looking for an experienced Senior Associate - Master Planning to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
• In this pivotal role, you will shape the future of urban development within the region by leading strategic planning initiatives, overseeing major development projects, and driving infrastructure improvements that contribute to the growth and sustainability of Jeddah.

• Lead the development and analysis of comprehensive master plans, feasibility studies, and strategic planning initiatives for residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects, providing strategic direction to junior planning staff
• Conduct detailed site assessments and land-use analyses using advanced GIS technology and analytical tools to inform planning recommendations and establish best practice methodologies
• Prepare technical documentation, zoning studies, and regulatory compliance reports in accordance with Saudi Arabian building codes and local regulations, ensuring adherence to Vision 2030 objectives and national strategic priorities
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment between planning objectives and project execution, while mentoring junior team members on planning principles and project delivery methodologies
• Engage strategically with government agencies, community stakeholders, and senior clients to gather input, present findings, and build consensus on development initiatives, leveraging your extensive stakeholder management experience
• Analyze demographic data, market trends, and economic indicators to support strategic planning decisions and contribute to thought leadership within the organization
• Review and evaluate development proposals for compliance with urban planning standards and sustainability principles, establishing quality assurance protocols for planning deliverables
• Utilize CAD software and advanced urban design tools to create sophisticated visualizations, maps, and presentations for stakeholder communication and executive briefings
• Oversee project timelines and budgets while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all planning deliverables and ensuring resource optimization across multiple initiatives
• Champion industry best practices, emerging planning methodologies, and regional development standards, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the planning function

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in urban planning, urban design, master planning, or related field, with demonstrated progression to senior-level roles
• Advanced proficiency in GIS software and CAD applications with expertise in spatial analysis and complex modeling
• Comprehensive knowledge of zoning regulations, building codes, and urban planning principles with proven track record of regulatory compliance and advocacy
• Extensive demonstrated experience with master planning, feasibility studies, development project management, and large-scale infrastructure initiatives
• Expert-level analytical and research capabilities with strong data interpretation skills and ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights
• Proven ability to communicate complex planning concepts to diverse audiences through written reports, presentations, and executive briefings
• Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, community consultation processes, and consensus-building with government agencies and senior leadership
• Deep knowledge of sustainable urban development practices, green building standards, and climate-resilient planning strategies
• Strong familiarity with Saudi Arabian development regulations, market conditions, and regional investment landscape
• Demonstrated understanding of Vision 2030 initiatives, regional development priorities, and alignment with national strategic objectives
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously and lead cross-functional teams
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and emerging urban planning software platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, mentor junior staff, and adapt to evolving project requirements and market dynamics
• Professional certification in urban planning or related discipline (AICP, RTPI, or equivalent) is preferred
• Published work, speaking engagements, or recognized contributions to urban planning thought leadership is advantageous
