The Senior Associate works on audit planning, direction, completion, financial statement review, and related technical accounting services.
The role supervises junior colleagues and collaborates with senior colleagues on client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Own client engagements from planning through completion.
- Prepare or review work papers and draft financial statements.
- Draft client reports and other deliverables for management review.
- Identify audit risks and develop audit strategies through planning discussions.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns.
- Use artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and data visualizations.
- Engage clients and recommend improvements.
- Stay informed about industry trends through professional development.
- Handle complex audits and delegate workloads appropriately.
Requirements
- Practical IPSAS experience is mandatory.
- Experience with complex audits and group audits is expected.
- Comfort with audit software and Microsoft Office is expected.
- Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.
- Willingness to work additional hours and travel as needed.
