Data architecture and engineering

• Design solutions across source systems, integration services, the enterprise data platform, Snowflake, semantic layers, APIs, and BI products.
• Translate business outcomes into target-state flows, mappings, transformation rules, interface contracts, and non-functional requirements.
• Define reusable batch, API, and event-driven patterns for structured, semi-structured, external-market, and SaaS data.
• Lead and contribute to production ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable data services across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Optimize performance, latency, throughput, failure rates, and cost; ensure deployment, version control, rollback planning, and runbooks.

Analytics, governance, and delivery

• Own trusted data readiness for dashboards, executive reporting, operational analytics, and AI use cases; partner with teams on KPIs and dashboard requirements.
• Embed data-quality checks, reconciliation, exception reporting, role-based controls, and encryption; align products with governance, privacy, retention, and classification requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery, coordinate stakeholders and vendors, conduct solution and readiness reviews, and provide status, risk, and dependency updates.
• Mentor colleagues, establish reusable templates and standards, review technical outputs, train stakeholders, and maintain knowledge documentation.
• Evaluate AI-assisted engineering, serverless ETL, cloud orchestration, containerized deployment, and observability for measurable value.

Experience and technical qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in enterprise data, analytics, integration, or solution architecture, including hands-on delivery from requirements through production support.
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL, warehouse or lakehouse architecture, ETL/ELT, cloud data services, and Python or Scala scripting.
• Experience with Informatica IICS or comparable integration tools, Git, CI/CD including Azure DevOps, Kafka, and hybrid architectures.
• Experience with Power BI, semantic models, row-level security, controlled releases, and exposure to wider BI tools such as Tableau.
• Experience with confidential or regulated data, governance, privacy, access control, and enterprise cross-functional delivery.

Education and certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative or technical discipline.
• Postgraduate study or cloud data engineering certification is an advantage; listed platform, governance, security, architecture, and operations certifications are preferred or valued.
• Investment data, Human Capital analytics, enterprise reporting, and AI data enablement experience are highly advantageous.

Location and work arrangement

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi.
• Hybrid working is offered, with remote working up to five days a month.
