Role overview

Responsibilities

• Assess companies, fund managers, markets, and investment structures across growth stages.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and develop origination capability through engagement with companies, funds, and partners.
• Support end-to-end transactions, including commercial, strategic, and financial due diligence, financial models, valuation analyses, investment committee materials, and execution.
• Monitor the portfolio, conduct performance reviews, and prepare updates for senior management and investment committees.
• Work with portfolio companies and fund managers on value creation, strategic initiatives, business development, governance, ecosystem connectivity, and co-investment opportunities.
• Represent Mubadala with founders, management teams, fund managers, co-investors, advisors, and the wider investment ecosystem.
• Develop as an investment professional alongside senior colleagues and support others' performance.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant quantitative discipline.
• A relevant MBA, Master’s in Finance, or other postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, growth equity, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or a related investment environment.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capability, with the ability to review opportunities independently from day one.
• Experience evaluating technology companies or growth-stage investments, or managing investment portfolios in the UAE and MENA region, is highly advantageous; candidates from outside the region are welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
• Sound commercial judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Business skills include strategic thinking, analytical thinking, problem solving, resilience, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and results focus.
• Be a team player with high business ethics, a drive to deliver, innovate, and improve, and the ability to build strong partnerships.
• Be an excellent communicator able to build relationships.
