Senior Architect (Site Supervision)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope and schedule and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, design standards, and asset briefs; integrate design packages across disciplines.
• Champion Safety in Design and engage stakeholders as part of the architecture mandate.
• Lead creative design processes and collaborate with design, delivery, and project teams from concept to completion.
• Deliver designs for residential, mixed-use, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, civic, and cultural projects.
• Prepare drawings, presentations, and architectural documentation from concept through detailed design.
• Supervise production across visualization, pre-concept, concept, developed, and detailed design stages.
• Lead qualitative design reviews and provide recommendations to executive management.
• Oversee architects, designers, managers, and other professionals, and lead multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
• Develop and review asset briefs, manuals, standard design documents, material schedules, sample boards, FF&E schedules, sourcing, and mock-ups.
• Resolve design issues within budget and project design approach; coordinate with consultants, contractors, and NEOM departments.
• Provide technical design guidance, monitor compliance during design and construction, track Capex documentation, and build team consensus.

Knowledge and Experience

• 13+ years of architectural design and management experience after undergraduate study.
• Experience managing international design consultants across sectors and typologies.
• Experience in residential, commercial, public, healthcare, and educational design.
• Construction experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in large, complex programs focused on quality and innovation.
• Knowledge of financial and commercial project management, risk management, scope definition, and scope interfaces.
• Knowledge of international standards, policies, codes, procedures, statutory authority requirements, and sustainable design principles.
• Expertise in architectural and urban design.

Skills

• Excellent conceptual and aesthetic design skills.
• Fluent English and strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Suite; Grasshopper and V-Ray are a plus.
• Able to lead multidisciplinary teams and large-scale projects and meet deadlines and budgets.
• Proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative.

Education and Certifications

• B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Postgraduate degree in Architecture or Urban Design.
• International accreditation such as RIBA, AIA, or equivalent.
• Sustainability certification such as LEED, PQP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
