The role supports the Trade and Shopper Marketing Finance leader and partners with Sales, Sales Operations, Shopper Marketing, Accounting, Customer Finance, and Sales Strategy & Planning.

The work includes monthly accruals, spend tracking, deduction and settlement reconciliation, and promotional ROI.

Strong Excel skills and comfort with business data are emphasized; advanced programming or automation skills are not required.

Trade and shopper marketing reporting

  • Extract, reconcile, and validate TPM, ERP, and syndicated data; keep report files, definitions, and supporting documentation organized and auditable.

Accruals, analysis, and controls

  • Support monthly accruals by compiling inputs, preparing calculations, comparing estimates with actuals, and coordinating review with Accounting and Financial Planning.
  • Track spend versus plan by customer and channel and explain material variances.
  • Support settlement validation, deduction research, month-end close, year-end true-ups, and audit requests.

Promotion analysis and compliance

  • Organize baseline and incremental sales data for pre-event estimates and post-event reviews.
  • Prepare post-event ROI summaries by event, customer, brand, or SKU, note data limitations, and maintain shared results and benchmarks.
  • Identify programs with unexpected results and prepare analysis for Sales and the finance leader; support scenario analysis for trade rates, promotional mechanics, and customer proposals.
  • Track compliance with contracted trade terms and approved funding and work with Sales and Sales Operations to resolve issues.

Business partnership

  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Finance, Accounting, and Sales Strategy & Planning to maintain current information and reconcile customer spending, accruals, actuals, and deductions.
  • Communicate reports and findings clearly to Finance and cross-functional audiences and suggest practical improvements to reports, processes, and data checks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Trade Finance, or related analytical roles.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis; strong Excel skills for organizing data, using formulas, and maintaining recurring reports.
  • Ability to work carefully with data from multiple sources, investigate differences, communicate findings, and stay organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Consumer packaged goods, Food & Beverage, or Retail industry experience is preferred.
  • Power Query or Power BI familiarity and experience with trade deductions, shopper marketing, or trade promotion management systems are preferred.
