This is a senior, hands-on role with ownership of how AI solutions are designed, built, and delivered.
Responsibilities
- Turn prototypes and validated research concepts into hardened, tested, observable, and maintainable production systems.
- Build and operate real-time personalization, recommendation, search, and ranking systems against live traffic.
- Maintain strong engineering standards across AWS, TypeScript, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and testing.
- Work with R&D engineers, product managers, data analysts, and Staff Engineers to bridge experimentation and production delivery.
- Measure and evaluate AI model performance using data and experimentation to drive improvement.
Experience and Qualifications
- Typically five or more years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong TypeScript expertise and working knowledge of Python.
- Production experience with AI, machine learning, recommendation, search, ranking, or LLM-powered features.
- Hands-on AWS cloud-native development experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
- Experience with high-performance real-time systems, scalability, reliability, and low latency.
- Experience measuring and evaluating AI model performance.

- Strong modern software engineering practices focused on clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, data, and AI research teams.
- Clear communication of technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
