Senior Accounts Executive

Role description

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Reconcile accounts, support internal and external audits, and ensure adherence to financial policies and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues and operational teams across campuses to provide accurate financial information.
• Resolve discrepancies and contribute to continuous improvement of financial controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability; comfort with financial data, spreadsheets, and accounting or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, accounting standards, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently remotely, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Relevant academic qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is an advantage; international, public sector, or humanitarian/development experience is beneficial.
• Collaboration skills and cultural awareness for working with diverse colleagues.
