• Job Code: 348/001/354Industry: Water TreatmentWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant in Sharjah to strengthen the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, with strong expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).With 8–10 years of experience, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting processes, and guiding junior team members while ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations and IFRS standards.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial records.
• Ensure timely financial reporting and provide detailed analysis to support management decision-making.
• Lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and other applicable regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and performance-driven work environment.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring smooth audit execution.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including the timely and accurate filing of VAT and corporate tax returns, while ensuring adherence to UAE tax regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, provide insights, support strategic decision-making, and forecast financial outcomes.
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and internal control mechanisms to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or professional certification (such as CPA or ACCA) is preferred.
