Senior Accountant - Receivable

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the complete Accounts Receivable cycle.
• Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain customer account reconciliations.
• Process and record customer receipts, credit notes, and adjustments.
• Review customer credit limits and support credit control activities.
• Generate aging reports and provide regular updates on collection status.
• Coordinate with the sales and operations teams to resolve payment-related issues.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to receivables.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE regulations.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Identify opportunities to improve receivable processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum **5–7 years of Accounts Receivable experience**, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and receivables management.
• Experience in credit control and collection processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in contracting, construction, real estate, or group company environments.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT requirements.
• Experience handling high-volume customer accounts and collections.
