Senior Accountant (Real estate brokerage)

Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports; maintain records and post transactions on time.
- Calculate, record, and reconcile brokerage commissions; monitor commission receivables and payables with the sales team.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries; perform bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and payments; assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Apply appropriate accounting treatment to property transactions and brokerage income.
- Support VAT calculations, returns, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Coordinate external audits, provide financial records, comply with company policies and UAE regulations, maintain documentation, resolve discrepancies, and report to management.
Requirements
- B.Com or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Real estate brokerage experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting; good understanding of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills; good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
