Senior Accountant

About This Role

Equitrans Logistics LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring strong financial controls in line with company budgets and regulatory requirements.

This role plays a key part in overseeing general accounting functions, managing payables and receivables, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, contributing to efficient and compliant financial operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using the company’s accounting systems.
• Prepare and post accounting entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including petty cash, balance sheets, profit & loss, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoice processing and collections.
• Review and monitor accounts receivable aging and cash inflows.
• Reconcile all company bank accounts and credit card transactions.
• Support monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow and highlight risks or improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements, including filings and documentation.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Generate accurate and timely financial and management reports.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
• Review and enhance accounting systems, policies, and internal control procedures.
• Develop and document accounting policies and business processes to strengthen governance.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks and financial reporting as required.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; experience in logistics or freight forwarding is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, NetSuite, Oracle or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
