Senior Accountant

Position Overview

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Mandatory experience with an Engineering Consultancy/Consulting company in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures.
• Experience in UAE Corporate Tax compliance and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and UAE accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including monthly and year-end closing.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Prepare client invoices and monitor collections.
• Process supplier payments and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure compliance with FTA regulations.
• Support Corporate Tax reporting and compliance requirements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Coordinate with auditors and prepare audit-related schedules and reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA is an advantage.
• Experience in project accounting and consultancy-based invoicing.
