Role Overview
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented
Senior Accountant
to join our growing prop trading firm in Dubai.
This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the company's financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, maintain compliance, and support management with budgeting and financial planning as we continue to scale.
Key Resposibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor company expenses
- Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
- Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits
- Maintain compliance with UAE financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Support management with financial analysis and business insights
- Work closely with external auditors, banks, and service providers
- Assist in improving financial processes and controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, trading, or startup environments
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are a plus
