About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with at least 4 years of proven experience in the applying country.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of local financial regulations, VAT compliance, and accounting best practices, along with a recognized professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with VAT laws, including preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience within applying country
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
