Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily bookkeeping activities, preparing financial reports and statements, managing payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
They will contribute to budgeting and forecasting, analyze financial data for decision-making, and assist in external audits.
Additionally, the Senior Accountant will be expected to collaborate with teams within the organization to maintain accurate and efficient accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA is preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE financial regulations
- Experience with VAT filing and compliance in the UAE
- Familiarity with real estate accounting, escrow accounts, and project costing
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience in payroll management and account reconciliation
- Skills in financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision support
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, or similar
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and communicate effectively
- Experience in the real estate or construction sector is a strong advantage
