About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in UAE accounting practices.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions, payroll processing, VAT compliance, and financial reporting using accounting systems such as Zoho Books.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
- Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, LPOs, and supplier accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor and manage company cash flow
- Handle VAT filing and ensure compliance with Federal Tax Authority regulations
- Process and manage employee payroll, including WPS, overtime, leave salary, and deductions
- Ensure payroll compliance with UAE Labour Law and statutory requirements
- Maintain payroll records and generate payroll reports
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure audit readiness
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial data verification and approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience )
- UAE VAT regulations and compliance
- Payroll processing (WPS)
- General accounting and financial reporting
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in Zoho Books or similar cloud-based systems
- Ability to handle end-to-end accounting and payroll independently
- Immediate or short notice candidates preferred
