Overview
On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Dubai.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, and compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including bookkeeping, journal entries, receipts, and payments
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial and sales reports
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Perform bank, AP, and AR reconciliations
- Support cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Conduct debtor ageing analysis and maintain vendor records
- Ensure VAT and tax compliance, including tax computations and reporting
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Liaise with banks, clients, and relevant stakeholders as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- ACCA or CA qualification mandatory
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
- India GST and UAE VAT work experience required
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT, and taxation
- Advanced Excel skills are essential
- ZOHO experience is essential
