A transport company seeks an experienced senior accountant to manage daily financial operations, maintain accounting records, prepare management reports, and support regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain customer, supplier, cash, and bank ledgers; prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
- Monitor expenses and report variances; issue invoices, follow up on client payments, and maintain aging reports.
- Verify supplier, fuel, maintenance, and spare-parts invoices; track maintenance payments and check spare-parts prices with vendors.
- Ensure timely payments; prepare salary sheets and WPS files; maintain employee advances, deductions, and end-of-service settlements.
- Assist with VAT returns and filing, prepare audit schedules, coordinate with external auditors, and comply with Qatar financial regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Transport or logistics sector experience in Qatar is preferred.
- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software; strong knowledge of WPS, VAT filing, and local financial compliance.
- Excellent MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, ability to meet deadlines, and good coordination and communication in English and Urdu.
- Driver license required.
Pay
- QAR 4,500–5,000 per month.

- Work is in person in Doha; applicants must be able to commute or relocate to Doha.
