Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions; document financial transactions and analyze accounting options.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, financial reports, statements, and budgets.
• Audit supporting documents and direct internal and external audits, including providing information to auditors.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guide accounting clerical staff, coordinate activities, answer questions, and plan, assign, and review staff work.
• Maintain the general ledger, transfer subsidiary accounts, prepare trial balances, and reconcile entries and discrepancies.
• Secure financial information through database backups.
• Analyze financial information, report results, and provide technical advice to management.
• Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting; support month-end and year-end close.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, managers, and directors; process payroll; support smooth operations during important long vacations or government holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Typically 5 or more years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred skills

• Financial modeling and data analysis experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is preferred.
• Experience in auditing or working closely with auditors is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are preferred.

Pay

• AED 3,005.20–10,171.48 per month in the description; structured salary field states AED 3,005 per month.

• Al Ain.
