Role purpose
Maintain gardens, plants, trees, lawns, and landscaped areas in a clean, healthy, and attractive condition.
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas.
- Water, plant, transplant, prune, trim, and fertilize plants according to need or schedule.
- Remove weeds, dead plants, leaves, and garden waste; monitor for pests, diseases, or damage and report issues.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and gardening products safely as instructed.
- Operate, clean, maintain, and store gardening tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, cutters, and watering systems.
- Maintain clean pathways and surrounding outdoor areas; support seasonal planting and landscaping.
- Move soil, plants, pots, and other materials when required.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures and report maintenance, irrigation, or landscaping issues.
Requirements
- Previous gardening or landscaping experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, and gardening techniques.
- Ability to operate basic gardening tools and equipment.
- Physical fitness for extended outdoor work, including hot weather and varied conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Working conditions
- Work is in person and outdoors, with exposure to heat, dust, sunlight, and varying weather conditions.
