Senior Accountant role focused on financial reporting, close processes, reconciliations, analysis, team leadership, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and review sub-ledger balances.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis, monitor cash flow, and assist with financial forecasting.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff and assistant accountants; review their day-to-day tasks.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP or IFRS and tax regulations.
Required qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant accounting or public finance experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software, including Zoho Books.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
- Five years of GCC experience is preferred.
